Punta Mita - National Achievement Awards
In February, Marcus & Millichap took us on an all inclusive trip to Punta Mita, Mexico. Due to Spencer's success in brokerage in 2017, we got 4 days and 4 nights in paradise. I created a video diary of the trip so be sure to check it out !
We arrived to the Four Seasons mid afternoon and checked in with the Marcus & Millichap group. We booked our activities and got the itinerary for the trip before being escorted to our ocean front room. We quickly changed and went to explore the property but ultimately landed in the infinity pool. Making friends on vacation typically comes natural for us so we ended up hanging out with a group of M&M brokers out of the Encino office. We drank mimosas and soaked in the atmosphere as the day quickly faded away. Our first night was the 'Day of the Dead' party for the agents who made Platinum. This was hands down my favorite evening; not because of the extravagant costumes or the fun dance party but simply because of the food! They had endless taco carts and food stations set up the entire evening all up for grabs. We drank delicious margaritas, ate amazing Mexican food, and danced the night away with our feet in the sand and breathtaking ocean views.
Another favorite part of the trip was the breakfast! Every morning we would go down to this cute restaurant that overlooked the ocean. We got delicious omelets, crispy bacon, fresh fruit and my favorite - the green juice. The second day was another pool day socializing with other brokers around the country. Later, Spencer played in a few volleyball pick up games. M&M gave us the evening off so we planned a Sushi dinner with our friends from Sacramento. We ended up going down to this exclusive beach bar that was complete with warm fire pits, great conversation and even better company.
The third day was not only Valentines but our activity day. Spencer woke up early to golf on Jack Nicklaus's course that is home to the famed “Tail of the Whale” – the world’s only natural island green. While Spencer was golfing I was relaxing in the Four Seasons spa and getting a facial. We met up after and hung out on the beach while searching for shade to ease our sunburns. The evening was an extravagant V-Day Party that had costumed characters, a live band, sushi bars, candy stations and even more.
Thursday was our last full day, we made sure to stop at the M&M booth to customize our free Nike ID's. The volleyball tournament was also on the agenda and Spencer was determined to win. Unfortunately, the team came up a bit short in the championship and placed second overall. The big awards ceremony was later in the evening and everyone was dressed to impress; some of women even looked like they had just stepped off of the red carpet. We were a little worn out from all of the sun and partying but it didn't stop us from staying until they kicked us out. The awards ceremony was the perfect conclusion to such an amazing trip!
Unfortunately this was the last year that Spencer can qualify for the awards because he is no longer a broker, so we made sure to take full advantage of it. We are so grateful for the opportunity of yet another trip of a lifetime.
