BUMPDATE WEEK 28
Hello, third trimester! I've mastered maternity fashion, being sober and the best way to roll off the bed/couch. I have NOT mastered the mood swings, the endless sweat or the pure exhaustion. Her movements continue to amaze me as they become more frequent. I'm so in love with her already and October couldn't come sooner!
To be honest, I had planned on doing a Bumpdate on week 23 in Lake Shasta and week 25 in NOLA but here we are at week 28. The past few weeks this pregnancy has been very draining. Not that I am complaining, I am loving every minute of this but the exhaustion can be overwhelming. I have not been feeling like myself - very unmotivated and emotional which is quite the change up from my normal happy-go-lucky demeanor. So it was important for me to not force myself to do the bumpdates when I really wasn't feeling up to it. I do these because I love creating videos and hopefully one day to share with Kinsley.
Baby girl continues to become more and more wiggly, she is most active in the morning when I first wake up and at night when we are going to bed. I love watching her alien-like movements in my belly. The most consistent craving has been chocolate milk, however this past week I was dying for a milkshake. I have yet to be able to start on her nursery and it is killing me. We recently had a pipe leak which wrecked havoc in our laundry, guest bath and hallway, so the nursery has been on hold. I am SO excited to start putting it together and can't wait for the house to be back to normal. *Fingers crossed one more week.* I have started to feel what I believe are Braxton Hicks. My stomach gets real tight and it lasts for about 30 seconds, for all 30 seconds I feel like I can feel every part of Kinsley in my belly. It is a very cool feeling. Spencer continues to be my rock and I am so lucky to have such a kind and patient husband by my side. He’s no doubt going to be the most amazing father to our little girl and I can’t wait to watch it happen before my eyes.
